Workplace Challenge

workplace challengeExercising to achieve personal goals is great and when you set yourself a challenge and smash it, you feel really good.

But sometimes rather than slogging it out to hit your personal ambitions it’s good to have a bit of healthy competition.

It doesn’t mean you have to go out and run a marathon or sign up to a 100 mile bike ride – instead you could try signing you and your colleagues up to the Workplace Challenge.

It’s not about competing in race or doing exercise altogether, it’s about logging how much exercise you do individually and having a competition about who does the most.

It’s a great way of combining your personal goals with a bit of friendly competition to boost your motivation.

The challenge is really easy, you sign up and create an area for your work place so you can all see each other’s information.

Then you log what you do – a walk, run, bike ride, gym class etc and then you get awarded points for the length of time and level of exercise achieved.

The person with the most points at the end wins and businesses and organisations may reward the winner with a prize.

I’ll certainly be encouraging my clients to sign up and spread the word among their colleagues and other businesses.

I think it is a great idea and certainly fits my ambition to get the people of Telford fit and healthy.

If you’re interested, The challenge is run by the County Sports Partnership Network and you can find out more here: https://www.workplacechallenge.org.uk/
