Back Care Assessment Day Sunday 4th June
The clinic at Ideal Fitness Telford is a one-stop shop where you will be seen by Paul (RGN,RMN,DipOH,DipFTST) our Occupational Health consultant nurse and advanced back care specialist. Following your assessment Paul will be able to recommend further investigations and treatments if applicable or arrange for appropriate management and treatment

Receiving the correct information in the early stages of back pain can avoid chronic symptoms causing more discomfort and prolonged periods off work

What does the appointment involve?

You will be assessed by Paul Our Advanced Back Care Specialist who will take a case history and perform a clinical examination. Following yourassessment he will be able to recommend treatment:
either by himself or refer you to your GP,

A report will be sent to your GP (with your consent) containing information about the treatment given, or outling the recommended plan of treatment. You will also receive advice on returning to normal activities and instruction on exercises supported by literature.

The assessment treatment and report (if required) is just £25

In 2008, I broke my back in a serious accident which was undeniably traumatic. However, my fitness knowledge and specialist training – along with a fair helping of determination and dedication – allowed me to train my way to recovery.

I can honestly say I am now fitter and stronger than I was before my accident, and more determined than ever to show other how exercise can radically improve your life.

I am a Level 4 personal trainer which makes me a specialist in weight loss and body transformation . I’m a karate black belt, former gymnast, holistic masseur and sports massage therapist.

I have developed a winning approach to fitness, body transformation and weight loss that utilises a variety of techniques, including mindset, martial arts, weight training, pilates techniques, bosu, relaxation through remedial massage and sports massage and many other winning stuff in Telford.

Over the last 17 or so years, I have dedicated myself to building a very extensive portfolio of personal training and fitness-related qualifications, along with building impressive experience across a huge range of disciplines.

It looks impressive on paper but, more importantly, it means I have a wealth of experience and techniques at my disposal to ensure you reach your goals.

I am an expert in body transformation, weight loss, speed training, strength training, and training for competition  in Telford.

Hi, I’m Paul Fernley (RGN,RMN,DipOH,DipFTST) and I’ll be your Ideal Fitness Telford sports therapist (treating your injuries), holistic massage therapist (helping you to relax), trainer in massage therapy and first aid trainer. I am a fully qualified nurse with over 35 years working experience, 25 of these as a specialist nurse in Occupation Health and being actively involved in rehabilitation.

I am also a fully qualified personal trainer, I hold a belt in judo and karate and enjoy the outdoors. My true passions lie with my qualifications as a sports therapist and in massage, first aid and as an advanced back care assessor. I enjoy working with people and helping them on their journey from injury to full health.

My extensive career as a nurse has allowed me to gain a vast amount of knowledge which I can utilise to enable you receive the best treatment available.

Over the 35 years as a qualified nurse I have also gained an impressive working knowledge of first aid working in hospitals, private industry and other first aid organisations. I am proud to be able to pass on my knowledge to you with our Ideal Fitness First Aid Courses in Telford and Shropshire which I have developed.

First Aid and Medical Services are one of the most important parts of any organised event. I have covered many public and private sports events. I am currently the first aid cover for sports events at RAF Cosford. As a provider of first aid in Telford, I am now able to provide your first aid cover at your event in Telford, Shropshire and surrounding areas.

I am also very proud to pass on my working knowledge of rehabilitation with our Ideal Fitness Sports Massage Courses in Telford and Shropshire.

My knowledge and qualifications look impressive on paper but, more importantly, it means I have a wealth of experience and techniques at my disposal to ensure you obtain the best from our therapy practices here in Telford.
